For Today…April 11, 2011 at 11:13pm
From the Heart:
My heart doesn't feel like sharing. :P
From the Heart:
My heart doesn't feel like sharing. :P
Oh, fine, I'm grateful for two, healthy beautiful girls. And I'm grateful for a wonderful, hard-working, kind husband. How's that?
On the Homefront:
Tomorrow is Sarah's 12th birthday! :) I don't know what we'll do to celebrate, since her party is on Friday.
We are loving the new property! <3 Currently, the yard is a carpet of wildflowers--spring beauties, marsh marigolds, violets, and trillium.
In the School Room:
Spring break! :) It was supposed to be next week, but it made more sense to have it this week. I have Sarah's party to get ready for, Judyan is coming into town, AHG badge orders are coming due, and taxes are due. Add all of that (and more) to classwork, and, yeah, spring break was needed this week.
In the Literary Scene:
The Wars of the Roses by Alison Weir. It's dry, so I can only get through a page or two before falling asleep. A family tree would be *so* helpful to the book. The girls and I are reading Jane Eyre, and I'm so excited about that!
Outside my Window…pitch black! LOL! I can hear the rain, though.
I am thinking…that I have so much to do! I think that's my permanent answer for this one.
I am thankful for…good health and my family. Pretty wildflowers and spring peepers.
From the kitchen…I made Holly's chicken salad rolls, with my own twists. They are yummy! (Chicken, celery, onions, curry powder, garlic salt, and cream cheese inside crescent rolls and also biscuits.)
I am wearing…a t-shirt and sweats and a jacket. It was a glorious day at home.
I am hoping… that I survive till summer break!
I am creating…hmmm, I don't know. I'm cleaning out the fairy ring, and Katie and I will be rearranging stepping stones through it. I made a video for a church sermon series, but that was a while ago. I'm creating PAPERS and curriculum plans and case studies.
I am hearing...the TV. The Office just finished up.
One of my favorite things… good health, beautiful nature, days at home.
I am praying for... good health (always) and for wisdom.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…planning, shopping, cleaning, organizing, compiling information, writing, researching, partying, walking, cleaning at Caesar Creek, picnic after Palm Sunday service, visiting with mother-in-law, etc.
I accomplished since last week…taxes, schoolwork, homeschool work, walked 9 miles, serious yardwork, doctor's visit, bloodwork, ultrasound, lunch with friends, more walking, etc.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you:
Toddler Sarah, her first time at Lake Erie! This is one of my absolute favorite pics of her. She was so excited!

I check your blog all the time to see if you've written!
:-)
Thanks for showing pictures of your journals, BTW. I was intrigued by them and looked them up and loved it... ordered one. I've never been good at journaling, but a few short thoughts each day? I could do that.
I sure wish we didn't live across the country from each other. I could sure use a kindred spirit about now!
Hugs!
About the journal, that is so funny! You almost got one from me this year. There was a mix up in the ordering, and I ended up with an extra one. I thought of sending it to you! In any case, Sarah realized I had an extra one before I could do that, and she asked for it. She's been writing in it, too!
As for kindred spirits, I know and can relate. I miss you, too. :( Hope you're okay, though. Call me or send me an email.
Love you! MB
